Personnal Information

Gene and I have been married for close to 9 years. My daughter, Susan (26) is married to a great guy (Dusty) so we may be grandparents in the near future. We have two horses, Buddy (an Arabian) and Dakota (a Quarter Horse) who are just a stone’s throw away from our new home.

We are recently moved into a new home on the edge of town and we love it. Gene is looking forward to getting on his John Deere and mowing lawn again!

How long have you been scrapbooking?

I have been scrapping for 8 years – my friend, Vickie, got me hooked when I saw her scrapbooks. She had me buying stuff and I didn’t even know what it was for!

Preferred scrapbooking snack

I find that I don’t snack when I scrap at home…but when I do take a break, I find my Diet Pepsi with lime and something crunchy…could be chips/pretzels or cucumber slices/carrots!

Scrapbooking style

I like to keep my layouts clean and simple so the photos really tell the story. I don’t journal as much as I should.

Scrapbooking tool you couldn't live without

QuicKutz – they are so versatile. I love my Revolution tool and being able to use my fonts and shapes on my cards and layouts. I also cannot scrap without my Chalk Inks!

Favorite line of scrapbooking paper

Basic Grey hands down - just the right look for those important horse and scenery photos I take!

Scrapbooking Tip

If anyone has seen my eyelet/brad bag, you will definitely see that I like my embellishments sorted by color. So if I need a pink embellishment, I just look in one container. I also have my ribbons by color in penny jars, sitting on the ledge in my scrap room. Decorative and functional!

Favorite Thing About VIP

Meeting all the great ladies (and yes…there are some men too!) who are working to create their own memories and treasures for their future generations. It’s so much fun to see the different styles each one of us has!
